Why were the New England Patriots cheerleaders hanging out with Aaron Rodgers? I don’t know either, but here are some photos from the event, a golf outing in 2007 in Wisconsin. They also ask a few good questions — is there some sort of cheerleader exchange system program in the NFL we don’t know about?
For those of you who needed to get updates on how your favorite former trash-talking point guard is doing, no need to hit up Google news anymore. Now, all you need to do is go to Gary Payton’s Twitter page. Is it the real thing? Who knows, but with entries like “Bacon is nature’s alarm clock” and goofs on Ahmad Rashad (presumably) with notes like: “Ahmad U smell like sushi,” it sure is fun. Ben Roethlisberger looks … puffy? Swollen? Whatever words we’re looking for here, they’re not good. Anyway, here are pics from Ben’s birthday party. Way to stay in shape there, CC Roethlisberger. Speaking of quarterbacks, we were too late to the party on this one, but Brett Favre’s truck sold on eBay for $35,000. I’ve been trying to bid on Favre’s dignity the last few months, but haven’t gotten any takers.
And finally, the dunk of the year in college basketball, courtesy of Wake Forest’s Jeff Teague:
