A Fox Sports source indicates the Dodgers have talked to the Cubs about acquiring left-hander Ted Lilly and second baseman Ryan Theriot. The report speculates that Chicago would need to cover part of the nearly $5 million the two players are owed through the rest of the season.
Lilly is a free agent at the end of the season. Theriot is under club control for two more years.
