According to a report in the New York Post, the Jets have more than 1,500 non-premium seats unsold for next Monday night’s season opener vs the Ravens. The team announced that there is “no chance” the game will be blacked out, as Jets owner Woody Johnson can purchase the available seats to guarantee TV coverage. Owners are allowed to buy any unsold non-premium seats for 34 cents on the dollar, meaning it would cost Johnson approximately $100,000 to make it a sellout.
