Jaguars’ Don Carey injured in helmet-to-helmet hit, fine may follow |

Jacksonville safety Don Carey may be the next offender under the NFL’s new policies on helmet-to-helmet hits. Carey was penalized by officials for unnecessary roughness following a helmet-to-helmet collisison with Cowboy’s tight end Jason Witten.
Carey seemed to take most of the damage and he was on his back for several minutes while trainers helped him. Carey left the field under his own power but he did not return with a neck injury. Under the enforced policies, Carey will most likely receive a fine for the hit by the league.
