Report: Eagles could sit Michael Vick in favor of Kevin Kolb in playoffs

According to Sal Paolantonio of ESPN (as relayed by ProFootballTalk.com), the Eagles have had concerns about quarterback Michael Vick‘s ability to recognize blitzes. The ESPN analyst said that if Vick struggles in the Eagles’ wild card game, he could be benched in favor of backup Kevin Kolb — the quarterback who was knocked out by a concussion in Philadelphia’s Week 1 loss to Green Bay, the same team that Philadelphia could end up facing in the wild-card round of the playoffs.

Vick, Paolantonio said, did not practice for part of this week in order to invest extra time in watching film of the Packers’ defense.

    tis wuld destory that entire franchise i promise you how you gone bench vick we talking bout a player who is a top 5 qb and an player who got you there boy i hope this dont happen but the mere fact of this report gone cause drama the

    I call BS on this. Vick is the leader of that offense & he’s the reason you’re going to the playoffs. You DON’T bench him for Kolb.

    if the egales dont get some blocking on the line, all the Q Bs will surley be killed. Vick is taking to many hard hits and Kolb had a taste of it today. Go Philly take it to the house–!!
