Stanford coach Jim Harbaugh is scheduled to meet Wednesday with the 49ers at an undisclosed location to discuss their vacant coaching position, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports.
Harbaugh’s Cardinals won the Discover Orange Bowl on Monday, beating Virginia Tech to finish with a 13-1 record. Harbaugh said after the game that he would not discuss his coaching future at the time.
The 49ers position became available after Mike Singletary was fired. Harbaugh’s name has been mentioned the most as a potential candidate to fill several teams’ coaching positions.
