According to the San Francisco Chronicle, Barry Zito, who is scheduled to start the Giants’ game Sunday against the Dodgers, was involved in a two-car accident Wednesday.
Zito was taken to Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles. According to the report the pitcher was taken out of his care by fire personnel, but it was not believed he was seriously injured, leaving the hospital shortly after arriving.
The lefty went 9-14 with a 4.15 ERA in 2010.
