♦ Dwight Gooden said that during a recent taping of the reality TV show “Celebrity Rehab,” former Mets teammate Lenny Dykstra made a surprise appearance in Gooden’s room and tried to get talk him into leaving the facility.

Explained Gooden: “It was around 10 o’clock and I was getting ready to go to bed. All of the sudden, one of the guys behind the scenes says, ‘Dykstra’s here.’ They tried to get Lenny to sign a waiver, and he didn’t want to do that,” Gooden told the New York Daily News Tuesday. “It was crazy. He was like, ‘Doc, you all right? I don’t like this. I got your bags.’ ”

Gooden, who has battled alcohol and drug addiction since the mid-1980s, stuck around instead of leaving with Dykstra, who has his own share of problems.

♦ A 27-year-old man was in critical condition Tuesday night after falling from a stairwell leading to the center field seats at Colorado’s Coors Field. During the opening game of a doubleheader between the Rockies and Diamondbacks, the man tumbled approximately 20 feet onto concrete. The Rockies refused to discuss the incident but acknowledged an investigation was under way.

♦ Steelers receiver Hines Ward won Season 12 of “Dancing With the Stars” Tuesday, defeating actresses Kirstie Alley and Chelsea Kane in the final round.
