Scottie Pippen: LeBron James ‘may be the greatest player to ever play the game’ |

Scottie Pippen won six NBA championships with Michael Jordan, the man who is generally accepted as the greatest player to ever pick up a basketball. However, on an ESPN Radio show Friday morning, Pippen said that although Jordan is the “greatest scorer to play the game,” when all is said and done, Heat forward LeBron James may be better.
“I may go as far as to say LeBron James may be the greatest player to ever play the game,” Pippen said, ” because he is so potent offensively that not only can he score at will but he keeps everybody involved.”
But that wasn’t the end of it. After he went off the air, Pippen took his opinion to Twitter. “For all of you that don’t know, I played the game you keep watching and cheering.” tweeted Friday morning. Three hours later, he added: “Don’t get me wrong, MJ was and is the greatest. But LeBron could by all means get to his level someday.”

Are you kidding me! No Rings? Kobe has 5 (2 w/o Shaq), and people dont ever put him in the same breath why should we do it for a guy who hasnt won a ring. And who might win one because he gravy trained on Wade’s back get it.
Lebron is just the flavor of the month. And once he loses in the finals, all this talk will be put to rest for another year. And then next year all the trolls will come out again.
Kobe’s career is even better than Lebron. Lebron isnt even the best player on his own team. Lebron has hit some big shots. But they werent as pressure packed as people made it seem. James hit big shots in game 5. But if he didnt, oh well, he still had game 6 at home. Same thing in the celtics series. Tell him to hit big shots on the road in games where if he doesnt make them, then the teams chances of winning the series are slim to none. Kobe has hit shots like that. Pierce has hit shots like that. MJ hit shots like that. Bird hit shots like that.
Just wait when the finals start.
