Asdrubal Cabrera and Carlos Santana of the Indians got into an argument in their dugout Thursday night, one heated enough that starting pitcher Fausto Carmona had to step between them, Danny Knobler of CBS Sports reported Thursday.
Primarily a catcher, Santana has struggled the last two nights at first base, dropping throws in each game that have led to a combined four unearned runs.
Manager Manny Acta spoke with both players after the incident, and Santana hit a three-run home run later in Thursday’s game. The Indians still lost 4-3 to the Tigers.
