| Ty Warren to have surgery to repair injured triceps | 08.18.11 at 12:44 pm ET |
After being released last month by the Patriots and then signing with the Broncos, defensive linemen Ty Warren will undergo surgery to repair his partially torn right triceps, according to a report in the Denver Post.
According to the report the Broncos are not placing Warren on season-ending injured reserve, but the average recovery time for torn triceps is 3-6 months. Since it is not a total tear Warren’s return could be less than that.
The Broncos gave Warren a $2.5 million signing bonus and $1.5 million salary for 2011. Warren played seven seasons with the Patriots and tallied 20.5 sacks.
