| Dolphins’ Jason Taylor disappointed that private team meeting went public | 09.23.11 at 10:40 am ET |
Dolphins linebacker Jason Taylor raised some eyebrows when it was revealed that he organized a closed-door meeting to address team problems after Miami dropped to 0-2 on Sunday. Now Taylor is upset that there have been reports of what was said in the meeting, meaning some of his teammates have been talking to reporters about matters that he thinks should remain private.
“It’s a little disturbing that what was talked about in the locker room to begin with was talked about outside of the locker room,” Taylor said in comments provided by the team. “That’s a little disappointing to me. There was no media in there so it shouldn’t have been public.”
The Dolphins have lost their first two games of the season, to the Patriots and Texans. While Taylor was unhappy with his teammates for leaking reports to the media, the veteran linebacker said that the real problem is Miami’s poor play to start the season.
“None of that will change until we start winning games, and we plan on doing that here in three days,” Taylor said. “I believe we’re going to get on this airplane Saturday and go up to Cleveland and kick somebody’s ass.”
