More details are emerging about Alex Rodriguez‘ relationship with an individual linked to performance-enhancing drugs, and it paints a disturbing picture of the Yankees infielder. According to a Miami New Times report, Rodriguez is one of at least six major leaguers who received PEDs from Anthony Bosch, a South Florida man said to be close to a number of Latin ballplayers.
Bosch’s client list is said to include outfielder Melky Cabrera, pitcher Bartolo Colon and catcher Yasmandi Grandal — all of whom failed tests and were suspended by MLB in the past year — as well as Rangers outfielder Nelson Cruz.
The New Times story sources a record of players’ use given to the paper by a former employee at Bosch’s since-closed Biogenesis clinic, and it details the numerous PEDs given to Rodriguez, including HGH, testosterone cream and insulin-like growth factor.
“In general, almost every drug these records describe coming from this clinic is well-known in the word of illegal doping,” former World Anti-Doping Agency subcommittee chairman Gary Wadler told the New Times.
Bosch’s father, Pedro, is the Florida doctor who supplied then-Dodgers outfielder Manny Ramirez with the fertility-drug prescription that led to his first suspension from baseball in 2009.
Rodriguez, who previously admitted using PEDs but said he stopped almost 10 years ago, is rehabilitating from offseason surgery on his hip and is expected to miss at least half of the 2013 season.

Now we have a valid reason for him not getting into the HOF, other than disliking him.

Teams should start suing these frauds to recoup some of their cash.

Fans should realise that the media, owners, coaches, and agents have always known this has been going on. They all turned a blind eye for a good story, and greed. Then they let the players get torched.
