Doctors found a benign mass on the brain of Springfield Falcons forward Wade MacLeod, who suffered a seizure during a game on Sunday.
MacLeod, a former Northeastern star, had the seizure after being hit into the glass and underwent tests after the game. His family released a statement through the Falcons explaining the results. The game on Sunday was postponed until March 1 as a result of the incident.
“Doctors have discovered a benign mass in Wade’s brain,” MacLeod’s family said in the statement. “He will be undergoing further examination to determine the appropriate treatment. We appreciate the respect of Wade’s privacy at this time.”
“It was a play that is made many times throughout a hockey game,” MacLeod said on Monday. “The result here was unfortunate, but I am feeling much better.”
