WEEI will take part in Monday’s one-minute moment of silence at 2:50 p.m., marking the exact time one week ago that the first of two bombs exploded at the Boston Marathon.

Gov. Deval Patrick asked all residents to take part in the moment of silence, which will include the ringing of bells across the city and state.

Also Monday, a funeral service was held in Medford for Krystle Campbell, the 29-year-old restaurant manager who died in the bombing. An overflow crowd showed up to pay their respects to Campbell and her family.

Members of the controversial Westboro Baptist Church in Kansas, which had announced plans to protest outside the funeral, did not appear. More than 200 union members, organized by Teamsters Local 25, prepared for the protest by forming a human shield around the area to block their view from mourners.

A memorial service for Boston University graduate student Lu Lingzi was scheduled for Monday night.
